CHARMEUSE / SATIN

Semi-lustrous fabric with a satin side and a matte side - either work as the right side in a garment. Charmeuse is a light-weight, softly draping fabric used primarily for evening dresses, lingeries, and sometimes lining.

 

Duchess Satin is a highly lustrous, dense, smooth fabric with a heavier weight. It has a shiny sheen on one side and a matte finish on the other. It's the perfect choice for special occasion garments.

A cousin of Charmeuse, Hammered Silk is made with a jacquard effect, giving it a look reminiscent of hammered metal.
